Louise Hay Affirmations

Affirmations wouldn't be affirmations without Louise Hay.  She is among the best, if not THE best in self-help affirmations.  A few months ago, I read her book, You Can Heal Your Life, and quickly bought the workbook that accompanies it.

It turns out that Louise was abused in her childhood, but was able to release the negative emotions, forgive, and help her mother and sister to deal with it also.  And, then, she was also able to turn her own life into the life she desired--creating each part herself through a matter of will and thought processes which she knew would bring about success.

Basically, every instance of guilt in our lives shows up in our auras first.  After some time, the physical body then manifests a physical problem, because the energies are connected.  Aura first!  Body second!  Get it--no coincidences!  I tested it out myself, and I have so much to work on, but I believe it's true.  Each time I have an ache or pain, I meditate on why it could be happening to me, and I receive the answers in my mind's eye.  For example, I feel guilty about a disagreement with someone or for revisiting something that happened long ago in the past.  And, I can work on it by showing the forgiveness I need to, for myself and others, and then I just sit back and watch the pain dissipate over time.  Sometimes it takes a few days, but I now know that it's completely true.

Louise Hay affirmations are clearly superior because she says that no one should ever blame themselves for anything EVER, just accept where you are and find something positive to tell yourself even if it's a small accomplishment.  She suggests having a daily routine in which you lay in bed thinking of all the things you are grateful for, and remind yourself that you love, approve of, and accept yourself.  This is an interesting process to learn affirmations for women, but even at the age of 40, or 50, or 60, or older, it still can be done, and is useful healing work.

Throughout the day, notice and be grateful for all things you can think of.  Live in the moment.  Realize that everyone is suffering some burden, and that all people want to be happy.  Louise Hay affirmations allow us to envision ourselves in the right place immediately, for instance, try saying to yourself:  "I always have good relations with my family and friends."  Even if you don't feel that it's true, you are creating a path for this to occur over time.  As you say a mantra like this, you feel good, and therefore, your aura is healthier, you are healthier than if you were complaining.

I am in no way directly using Louise Hay's words, but just off the top of my head giving some daily affirmations for seekers:  I love my life, and only love and compassion encircle me throughout the day.  I love my work, and I happily fulfill my obligations there.  I am grateful for my perfect health and/or my healing.

She also discusses how people must release the need for problems BEFORE they try to manifest major goals.  I regularly release the need for any kind of negativity (you fill in the blank) or sickness, offer forgiveness, and then spend a great deal of time in a state of gratitude.  I also try to meditate or recite mantras at bedtime or early morning so that throughout the day I am continually acknowledging the direction I wish my life to go in.

Oh, there is one more crucial factor, NO CRITICISM EVER, for yourself or anyone else.  There is no need.  Good luck, and God bless!
